Private browsing features go by many names – for example, “Incognito Mode” in Google Chrome, and InPrivate in Microsoft Edge. Regardless of the name, they all work roughly the same way. They let you open a special browser window.
You can also use a keyboard shortcut to open an Incognito window: Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n. Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n.
